Our Client is looking for a (Senior) Backend Engineer to join their agile cross functional working software development team.
In this role you will work closely with our development and product team to develop, modify our web-based applications and user interfaces across all channels. You will work under the direct guidance and interact with our CEO, Chief Policy Officer, designers, and engineers. We want someone who is motivated by emerging technologies and has a passion to drive digital transformation.
You need to share our passion for using technology to tear down barriers to financial barriers to opportunity. You’ll also share our obsession with customer satisfaction and continually improving how we serve our users.
As an Ideal Candidate You will be tasked with.......
- Design, innovate, develop, and implement our complex applications using new technologies and best practices as we continue to grow and scale
- Understand, build, test and maintain the backend overall infrastructure and health, allowing our users to have access to secure, performant, and uninterrupted services
- Write high-quality, well-tested code that promotes the longevity and sustainability of a fast-growing user base, both web, and mobile
- Influence the company technology stacks and engineering culture by staying up-to-date with the latest industry best practices
- Collaborate, communicate with your team and iterate quickly based on product and client feedback
We would love to see.....
- High-performance coding experience in at least in one modern programming language as: Python, Java, Scala or Go using modern backend tech-stack (Django, Flask, etc.)
- Proven experience working in RESTful APIs Web-Services, Microservices using Git and knowledge of the security aspect of web applications is important
- Hands-on experience in Azure or AWS and developing products in cloud and Linux environment
- Experience in working with Graph Databases (Neo4j) would be an advantage
- Proven work experience with web crawlers and natural language processing, Elasticsearch
- Experience visualizing/presenting data for stakeholders using: D3.js.
- Passion for shipping CI/CD and extensive knowledge containerization with Docker, Kubernetes etc.
- Frontend: JavaScript (ES6/React)
- Database: PostgreSQL
